Ruth and Harriet’s is deeply rooted in family. Growing up, our family was all about getting together on Sundays for dinner, and it was a whole day affair. We would get up early and head to my Grammy's house where she and mother would cook some of the most amazing meals. Luscious roasts, roasted poultry, and wonderful pastas flavored with fresh herbs and vegetables from my grandmother Ruth's extensive garden. It was family time filled with love and good time, with us kids being sent repeatedly during the day out to the garden for this herb or that zucchini, perhaps to the coop for some fresh eggs, or if we were lucky, over to the neighbors smokehouse for freshly cured bacon. As we got older, we began to cook alongside our grandmother, Ruth, and our mother, Harriet, learning how to make the wonderful things they made for us each and every Sunday. It is this warmth and love of family and home that was the inspiration for Ruth and Harriet's. We sure appreciate you stopping by!
